In the XVIII century and part of the XIX, Santa Comba de Telões was parish of the county of Baião.
Perhaps this is the reason that justifies the dimensions of this chapel and its four altarpieces, one of which shows the date of 1715.
Baroque grammar retables have great decorative value. During its conservation and restoration in 2012, frescoes from the 16th century were discovered, and an ancient altar table decorated on the front with a tiled panel.
It is interesting to note that most of the images still found today in the main altarpiece have a direct correspondence with those depicted in frescoes from the 16th century.
